Volunteer

YCRR, Inc. is dedicated to nurturing leadership within our community. Our volunteer program encourages people to be trustees of their communities and to work for the common good. It enables them to become a leadership resource for the entire community, able to understand and facilitate collaboration, consensus building and creative problem solving in addressing community needs. By participating in the program, individuals also develop a greater sense of community.

Whether you have a few hours a week, several hours a month or maybe even a day or two every year, there is a Community Leader position for you. There are many areas where we need volunteers. Some are long term and some are short term. No matter how much time you have to offer, there is a place for you.

• YCRR, Inc. hosts several events each year, all of which require the manpower of dozens of volunteers to ensure success. Past events have included chicken barbecues, pancake breakfasts, 5k run/walks, and golf tournaments. These volunteer opportunities are great for the individuals who are looking for a short-term commitment.
• The Fitness and Wellness Center is fully staffed by volunteers, seven days a week. Volunteer responsibilities at the center include general desk supervision, cleaning, and light office work. Volunteers typically sign up for a regular shift worked each week, which is coordinated by Project Coordinator Lisa Miller. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for the individual looking for a regular, long-term opportunity.
• In addition to the opportunities listed above, YCRR, Inc., has opportunities for community leaders within its board of directors and various committees. Currently, we are seeking volunteers interested in assisting with our multi-year capital campaign and welcome new community members in the process.
