Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates provides reading, writing, and math instruction; as well as instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL). Our program offers FREE, confidential, one-to-one instruction for adult students.
Literacy Volunteers also offers GED preparation; one-to-one or in classes. Our services are available in Penn Yan at 117 E. Elm Street and in Dundee at the Dundee Youth Center on Water Street.
All Literacy Volunteers tutors attend Tutor Training sessions offered by our program. After training, tutors are then matched with a student.
Our door is open to all students who need literacy help. We are always recruiting prospective adults who would like to become tutors in our program.
