The center is designed to host multiple activities at one time. It includes a multi-purpose gymnasium, industrial kitchen and banquet facility, training rooms, a fully equipped fitness and wellness center, locker rooms and office space.
The proposed site is approximately 14 acres of land generously donated by the Maeske Family of Penn Yan. It is located off North Main Street, adjacent to the John D. Kelly Center operated by Finger Lakes Health.
The drive leading to the center will be named Maeske Lane.
Organizations such as the Yates County Office for the Aging and HUBBA are partners with YCRR, Inc. and intend to host programs at the new community center, including the Yates County Senior Nutrition Program.
