The Board of Directors of YCRR, Inc., is pleased to introduce Lisa Miller who was recently appointed as the Project Coordinator for YCRR. Lisa will be responsible for the day to day activities of the YCRR office, the supportive management of the Fitness Center and will be involved with the Board of Directors and its Committees in all other aspects of the proposed Community Center Project, including working with the Village of Penn Yan regarding the disbursement of the $400,000 Small Cities Grant.
The Board looks forward to this new working arrangement and will support Lisa in her efforts to attract new members and volunteers to the Fitness Center as well as the on going work of the Community Center Project. A current focus is the access road from North Main Street to the property. This driveway, when built, will be named Maeske Lane to honor two members of the family that donated the land for the new building.
Additional changes at YCRR include election to the Board of Directors of Rita Gow, Professor of Accounting, Keuka College; Gerald (Jerry) Kernahan, retired engineer with the NYS Department of Transportation; Corinne Stork of Stork Insurance Agency, Michelle Morehouse of PYCS District, Jim Long, Long's Cards and Gifts, and Michael O’Brien of Keuka Footwear, Inc. Each will serve a two-year term. O’Brien was also elected to serve on the Board’s Executive Committee as the Secretary of the Corporation. Former Board members whose terms have expired were thanked for their service to YCRR. They are Priscilla Andrews of Dundee, Rolf Zerges of Bluff Point and Rev. John Tharp.
